Noah's Ark
What you will need for making saltdough:
- 300g (11oz) plain flour
- 1 tbs oil
- 300g (11oz) salt
- 200ml (7fl oz) water
Instructions for making saltdough:
(1) Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl using a knife. The dough should feel pliable - add more liquid if necessary.
(2) Turn out onto a floured surface and knead thoroughly until very smooth and elastic.

- Card for stencil
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Knife
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Pre-printed animal pictures from clip art
- Tape
- String
Instructions for making ark:
(1) Draw simple ark onto card and cut out.
(2) Roll out saltdough.
(3) With knife, draw around template onto saltdough.
(4) Place ark onto baking tray and cook for about 20 minutes at 250F, 130C.
(5) Leave ark to cool, preferably overnight.
(6) Paint ark in bright colours.
(7) Cut out animal pictures.
(8) Poke pictures through windows and tape at the back.
(9) Thread string through the top windows to be able to hang on the wall.
